Michael Mocho will conduct an all day demonstration on Friday, July 21st. The cost is $35 and registration is not limited.
The all-day demonstration will cover a variety of design strategies and techniques for creating and altering box and vessel forms.
Michael will demonstrate a variety of on-lathe textural techniques including chatter- work, indexed embossing, radial fluting, and spiral work.
Fast and effective methods for cutting clean box interiors will be demonstrated, as well as simple tips for making accurate static and moveable connections between parts such as lids, finials, knobs, spires, inlays, feet, and other appendages.
This demo will change the way you look at your turned forms and will inspire new explorations."
